Director Statement
WHY NY is a song that was written by Whitney Lockert while living and working in the New York boroughs of Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Queens. The music video was conceived as Whitney and Miranda moved from New York to Los Angeles as love letter to the city they’d called home for a decade. The footage was shot on iPhones, submitted by friends, and captured at random moments on return trips to the greatest city in the world.
