THE OPEN, 3min., Canada, Fashion
Directed by Kit Pilosof

The Open is about learning to embrace your anxiety through the notion of childlike play, instead of battling it. The film features a creative woman, a dancer, suffering from anxiety disorder. She battles her own anxiety on a tennis court in a match against herself. One side of the court represents her anxious state – she is trapped and not in control. The other side shows her in a state of childlike play – fearless, unafraid, joyful and free. She gradually learns to embrace her anxiety instead of battling it and it helps her to achieve. At the end of the film she is whole.
