Lonely, apathetic, depressed, joyless – whatever dark feelings there may be, people with depressions know them all. Caught up in themselves, without ideas and without strength, they are paralyzed and unable to reconnect with life. The Corona Pandemic with its comprehensive lockdown has drawn many people into this mental distress or made it worse.
The Russian ballet dancer Maya Mayzel gives expression to this desperation in a choreographer by Marijana Popovic and dances to the music of Yann Tiersen’s “On the Wire” (“Sur le fil”) in the closed cafeteria of Ulm City Library.
