Entered the Performing Arts Industry in 2016, following a 30-yr career in Surgery, to write a futuristic musical ALAN about the future of companionship between human and inanimate. This has had a Staged Read at the University of California Los Angeles in April 2019. Created 16 new songs for the Musical, one of which is Boy Scientist, but could not perform or release due to the pandemic. I was playwright and co-lyricist to the 16 songs. Also recorded as Creative Director, the Lim Fantasy of Companionship for Piano and Orchestra, composed by Manu Martin, with the London Symphony Orchestra and London Voices at Abbey Rd Nov 2019, produced by Adrian Peacock and Manu Martin, set to be released on the Signum Classics Label this spring 2021. Currently working on another project Cosmic Rhapsody with 15 new songs, and an orchestral piece of the same title, set to be recorded at Abbey Rd this November 22nd, 2021, with the London Voices and Isobel Grififths orchestra.
Director Statement
I am both excited and humbled to be submitting a music video to the IMVA, the second in my entire career, and competing with established producers in the Industry. Thank you for providing this platform to showcase our creation, which if successful, may enable us to further our project on to a musical with the other songs that we will also animate downstream.
