I am Todd Lien, an actor/director based in Los Angeles. Besides acting in different award-winning projects, I have directed many stage shows, commercials, short films, and music videos in the greater LA area for Asian American children. My credits include, 3-million-view viral short film, “Straight A”, viral Asian Magic Mike video, and feature film on IQIYI “iBot”.
Director Statement
I have the same goal in mind as an artist and as a director. I want to keep telling stories to put more Asian American stories on the map for mainstream entertainment community to see. This time, I have the opportunity to help a very talented young Chinese actor and rapper, Bowen Yu, bring an awesome rap song of his that portrays a relevant story to all immigrants to life. I want to bring this rap song mixed with Chinese and English lyrics to film festivals for the very first time. As a visionary, I have found an amazing group of talents and artists to bring Bowen Yu’s rap song to life together. I believe in the power of music and storytelling, and i plan to keep bringing videos like this from the mind of talented young artists I train and mentor to the big screen!
