Short Film: THE WAY WE CHANGE, 26min,. USA, Dance

Directed by Alexandra Farber
‘The Way We Change’ presents four different dancers in their various journeys through life, and how these can be seen in waking consciousness, in dreams, in an individual’s psychology, and in the way an individual acts. Each of the four dancers faces a separate struggle, and each finds resolution by the end of the piece in discovering they had the answers to their own questions inside of them all along.

Director Biography – Jamie Donohoe

Jamie Donohoe is a high school English teacher living in Oakland, CA. His experience directing drama students inspired him to switch from stage-craft to film, and he was shocked to see the overwhelmingly positive attention and awards garnered by his first short , WHAT I SHOULD HAVE SAID. He plans to produce two more shorts, and eventually (if he can find the crew) to produce a longer original film.

Director Statement

I wrote and produced WHAT I SHOULD HAVE SAID because the dining room table is the center of so many families. It’s sometimes the ONLY moment in the day when all family members commune to joke, tell stories, deliver ultimatums, confess and, way too often…lie.
