Patrick Waldmann is both DOP and Director as well in Documentary as in Feature Film. Working in long Feature Film with stunning directors as Esther Gronenborn and Christoph Schlingensief, he concentrates now on TV and Cinema Documentaries and comercials as a director and as DOP.
For as long as i studied Film i was eager to shoot a film in which dance is more than a szene filling sidekick. Actually a musical would be my most wanted next project. On my way there, i had the chance to meet Nora Pfahl and her lovley dancing students. It was clear at first sight. We had to do something. A thrilling mingle of energy, r discipline and joy combined the youth of the 11 year old regular students with a choreography originally made for professional adult dancers by Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker, in 1983. The result led to endless assiciative pictures and topics, of one was the story of my short Fricke-Ticke.
