Director Statement

This is Jazz Spectrum Dance Company’s first dance for film project which was originally created with the intent of a live onstage performance for Pushfest San Francisco. Due to the unforeseen events of 2020, we quickly adapted making “Chameleon” a dance for film. With a pressing deadline and multiple location changes due to Covid restrictions, “Chameleon” was shot in only 1 day with minimal crew. With every block that stood in front of us, we were proudly able to finish the film in time for its Global Online premiere in Oct. 2020.
