Omar Perineau is a French/American LA based film director. His cinematic language seamlessly merges a retro, contemporary and futuristic feel. The mood and aesthetics in which he displays his films are dreamy and captivating, pulling in viewers to transport them to a different universe.
Director Statement
This project was inspired by how fast our world and lives changed in 2020. I wanted to create a triptych which reflected us (as humans) first being on top of our game in a fossil fuel society, happily ignoring all possible consequences; followed by unexpected and confrontational events which came our way and our tendency to still turn our backs on them and at last the world in which we then found ourselves, where everything we have built up to now just didn’t make much sense anymore. I think the beauty of realisation and the nostalgia of a better life can help us change.
