Kevin Zambrano most recently made his Broadway debut as “Moose” in the Broadway revival of West Side Story directed by Ivo Van Hove and choreographed by Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker. While in New York, he has been interviewed by the likes of New York Times Style Magazine and Vogue. Kevin is a Burbank native and BFA graduate from The California Institute of the Arts. During his time at CalArts, Kevin choreographed and directed three full-length works, one of which earning him the CalArts’ Interdisciplinary Grant Award. Kevin has presented his choreographic work internationally in Seoul, Korea and Amsterdam as well as at the Troubadour in Hollywood and REDCAT, Los Angeles. In LA, he has worked with multiple dance companies including: WeWolf, No(one) Arthouse, TL Collective, Szalt and Rosanna Gamson World/Wide. In addition, Kevin has performed for artists Charli XCX, Solange Knowles and Tokimonsta. Kevin is interested in movement as a means of depicting the natural essence of the human being. “We made this film as a continuous stream of consciousness. Due to the experimental creative process and abstract nature of the film, we as directors guided the scenes to be birthed in reality. As the sisters moved through the journey, their feelings projected a story that reveals the complexity of their relationship with theatre.”
