Directed by Ka Chun Hui
The film was inspired by the abstract painting “La danseuse” by Lalan Xie, the artist reflects the connections between the real world to the imaginary world of the painting. The piece has been evolving through the creation process, from static to dynamic, from plane to three-dimensional. The creation reveals the sense of powerlessness of the female dancer under the veil. Through the work, the frustration has transformed into the power of being reborn.
