Late at night, there are animals minding their own business beside a lake. Some of them meet at the end, and then they drink tea and making sticky rice happily together ever since.

Taking inspiration from a science fiction novel from 1969 by Michael Moorcock, the story is about a modern version of the first human being, who appears on earth as an adult child, being enthusiastic for discovering the great inebriation that freedom can give, the liberation of the body using the metaphor of dance.

Sankofa is a word in the Twi language of Ghana that translates to “go back and get it.” This 16mm film interprets an exorcism of social repression. Humanity’s passion, pain, and love are revealed through movement, light, and nature. The song “Tonada de Luna” was performed synchronously with the improvisational dance.
