A millennial girl influenced by internet age is absorbed in queer beauty, but experiences a visceral response to addiction. After crumbling, she is liberated by various social movements as a source of independence. Tumblr has been a source for young girls to understand themselves, being a negative influence for issues like body image, addiction, and self-harm but a positive resource for queer theory, sexuality, black female spectatorship or “black girl magic”, and various social movements. Thus the dance moves us through the experience of adolescence through tumblr, largely influenced by tumblr aesthetic and culture.
