Funny story about this festival event. It was the first non-sellout in over 50 FEEDBACK Film Festival events in Toronto. A very bad ice storm hit most of Eastern Canada and the United States the day before and navigating through it to get to a destination was…let’s just say, very hard. Not to mention many people were without power.
The show had to go on and the festival took place with an audience of over half the capacity. A grand achievement. This was an audience who LOVES experimental films and it was an honor to have them all.
For the filmmakers that films were showcased at this festival – your audience feedback is from your core audience. These people came to this festival during one of the biggest storms Toronto has seen in years. Even the Toronto Blue Jays baseball game had to be cancelled this night – and they play in a dome stadium!
The show went on and it turned out to be the best event so far in 2018.
The MVP of the night was the entire FEEDBACK Film Festival team. All the camera operators. Volunteers. And Festival Directors Mary Cox & Kierston Drier (who also served as the moderator of the evening). Bravo!
